HONG KONG – Playpen Studios today announced that its highly anticipated music and rhythm title Skillz: The DJ Game is now available for the iPadTM on the Apple App StoreTM. The full version of the game, which features five venues, six DJs and a 25 song library to play through, may be downloaded for $5.99, while a Lite version with several select songs is available for free. In Skillz, players select a DJ and strive for superstardom, gaining fans by scratching and tapping their way through original remixes of popular tracks from Kid Cudi vs Crookers, People Under the Stairs and Diplo, among others. Additional tracks will be available for download in the future, and an Android and PC release are also planned.

Playpen Studios is a Hong Kong-based independent video game developer founded by Joe Gilbertson and James Wong in 2005. After winning a game design competition hosted by Microsoft, the duo went on to become certified developers for the Xbox platform and performed a multitude of project-based services for Chinese developers and publishers.
